What kind of game were you hoping to make out of this? I really love the art style :) You could PM me the details if you don't want to explain it publicly.

I was going to make something like dad n me or castle crashers only much shorter, but I always tend to overestimate my self so this game will most likely never happen. Also this was like 2 years ago so I've already given up on it.

You know for your age this is pretty damn good! You're already grasping the idea shading both in color and crosshatching which is something I've never been all that good at and I'm 28 haha I suggest with future work to take a little more time to focus on perspective and weight of your objects. The sword for example has both the blade and hilt "leaning" forward instead of one or the other.

Keep practicing and keep up the good work dude.

Alecg27 responds:

Thanks dude. I always had a problem with drawing swords. Thank you so much for your support.

You're using photos of yourself as reference.......omg Jenni you don't have a head?!?! :O
Haha jk this is really cool! At school I just started an Introduction to 3D-Modeling class except we are using Maya to create stuff. We just modeled an old red baron airplane last week. Hmmm.....maybe I should also post things I model here on NG just for fun....

Anyways it looks great so far! Can't wait to see your future models as your skills grow! :D

jenninexus responds:

LOL Hero :-D I've added a neck! Working on the face today but it'll be a bit.. eventually detach the feet from the shoes .. pumped to keep at it. <3 PS - I would *love* to see examples from what you're learning in class.. I'm taking the self-taught / YouTube tutorial route but I think my style of discipline is best this way, tho I used to model for sculpture classes & love the school environment.

This is really good dude. Nice armor choice and the scar over the eye is a nice touch. Come to think about it more this is an excellent character. The long, broad jaw with the underbite, thick shoulders/neck, dome head with long, pointy ears, fat nose stuffed between two beady eyes. This is just stunning!

This must be related to the game you're making that you posted about nearly a year ago. The post currently still showing on your page. Am I right?

Either way this is truly epic.

Awesome. I was curious when you were going to find time to make another game :)

jenninexus responds:

Yay u r my hero, hero! Chapter 2 of Jenni Styles is still in production hence Alter Kat which is a bit of a tribute to my lil sis n her sexy fashion sense. Thx for keeping an eye out!

This piece popped up in my notifications and I was like who the heck is this RobsH66 - I don't remember following this guy. Then I checked your profile. Duuuuuude! I remember actually watching the teaser trailer to your series all the way back in 2004! Crazy how time flies, eh? Four years is a commitment but I'm sure the end product will be worth it. Stoked for your film dude!

RobsH66 responds:

thanks a lot! it is crazy how time flies... I hope you enjoy the next episode.

Pretty cool. I suggest lightening up Nexus a little bit as it is a little too dark which kind of makes all the letters melt together. Video Copilot rocks!

jenninexus responds:

Good suggestion Hero - thanks for your input & I'll consider doing a rendition on that one soon!

Reminds me ice areas in the Legend of Zelda games :D You know after looking at all of your art you could totally contribute your talent to a point 'n' click style game :)

Best of luck to your future endeavors!

Syrupmasterz responds:

It would certainly be interesting to work on a point and click game, I'm open to the idea. :P

Thanks for the well wishes!

I like it. My only suggestion is that the level of pixelation from your characters and the building vary. The characters have that nice blocky look but the building (especially the roof) is too crisp. Nonetheless, it kind of works in this pic.

What did you use to create your retro graphics?

BillionthVirus responds:

I used MS Paint. Also the characters and the house are too different styles. I made this image to showcase both styles.

Been teaching myself programming since the start of 2014. Making simple games for now but as my knowledge grows so will my projects!
